The Journal of Automotive Software Engineering (JASE) was discontinued at the end of 2021 with plans to restart it as a new journal with a broader scope. The successor journal entitled Journal of Software Engineering for Autonomous Systems (JSEAS) has now been launched and is open for submissions. JSEAS is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to distributing research and industrial results in the field of autonomous systems and software engineering, as well as overview papers in this area (the full Aims & Scope can be found here). JASE is no longer accepting new submissions, but authors are requested to submit any manuscripts which were intended for JASE to the new journal following the instructions on this page.
The Journal of Automotive Software Engineering (JASE) will be discontinued at the end of 2021 and will be re-launched as a new journal with a broader scope in 2022. Since its launch in 2019, JASE has been published by Atlantis Press which was acquired by Springer Nature at the beginning of 2021. Two volumes were published in 2020 and 2021, but after the acquisition of Atlantis Press it was decided to discontinue the journal and transfer its ownership back to the Founding Editors. A successor journal will now be launched by Athena International Publishing with a broader focus on software engineering for autonomous systems. All articles published in JASE will also be migrated to the Athena platform in due course. In view of this, JASE is no longer accepting new submissions and authors are requested to submit their manuscripts to the new journal once launched. More details on this will follow shortly.
